Upon arrival at Chengdu airport, you will be warmly greeted by your friendly tour guide and be transferred to hotel for check-in.

Overnight in Chengdu

In the morning, visit Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding for lovely pandas, it's their active time to play, cuddle and eat breakfast. Here, you can get a close look and take pictures with them. After enjoying tasty local lunch then head to Jinli Ancient Street, have a look at various interesting souvenirs and tour the traditional architecture, then experience the leisure life of Chengdu at Renmin Park where locals often play mahjong and drink tea. 

Overnight in Chengdu

Be picked up at the hotel lobby by your zealous tour guide and transferred to Leshan. On the way enjoy the beautiful countryside landscape of western Chengdu Plains for two hours driving on the expressway. Upon arrival, visit the biggest sitting Buddha sculpture-Leshan Giant Buddha. The grand Buddha was completed in 803 of Tang Dynasty after 90 years' construction and enjoys the fame of the biggest sitting stone sculpture in the world with a 71-meter height. Carved on the cliff face, the sculpture is well designed with perfect balance and an effective water drainage system. Drive back to Chengdu in the late afternoon.

Overnight in Chengdu

Be transferred to Chengdu airport then take the flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival, your local tour guide will greet you at the exit of airport and transfer to hotel for check-in. Have a relaxing rest for acclimatizing yourself to the high altitude, the air and temperature.

Kindly Note:

1. Please don't wash hair and take a shower on the first day in case of getting cold.

2. Try not to do strenuous exercise on the plateau, no alcohol and cigarettes.

3. Please bring sunglasses, sunscreen, hat, lip protector, warm jackets etc.

4. Drink some water to get acclimatized to the high altitude.

Overnight in Lhasa

The first stop today is UNESCO heritage site-Potala Palace, the Winter Palace for the Dalai Lamas. You will see incredible antiques including eight Dalai Lamas' holy stupas, decorated with extravagant gold, silver and pearls. After lunch, go for Jokhang Temple, the center of Tibetan Buddhism and the sacred land of Buddhist followers where thousands of pilgrims come for worshiping every day. Wander along Barkhor Street and shop some local souvenirs, or do kora (a religious circle of a building or mountain) with pilgrims and locals.  

Overnight in Lhasa

After breakfast, meet your friendly tour guide and start to visit Norbulingka, the most beautiful and largest man-made park in Tibet. This park was built 200 years ago and used to be the Summer Palace of religious leaders of the region. Later, visit Drepung Monastery, the sacred land of Gelug Sect, which was established in 1416 and the second, third and fourth Dalai Lama once resided in. You will be fully immersed in the culture and spirituality of Tibet as appreciating its beautiful carvings and exquisite artwork everywhere.

After lunch, take a relaxing drive to Sera Monastery, which was originated in 1419 and has always been an important Buddhist seminary. Watch and listen to monks debate philosophical points or to spend time touring the monastery's interior. After sightseeing, be transferred to the hotel.

Overnight in Lhasa

Check out from the hotel and be transferred to the airport or railway station.
