Upon arrival at Nyingchi Milin airport, you’ll be welcoming greeted by your local tour guide and driver then escorted to the hotel. After hotel check-in, take the rest of time for acclimatizing yourself to the high altitude, the air and temperature.

Kindly Note: 

1. Nyingchi locates lower altitude, the best landing place for traveler to adjust high altitude sickness.

2. Please don't wash hair and take a shower on the first day in case of getting cold.

3. Try not to do strenuous exercise on the plateau, no alcohol and cigarettes.

4. Please bring sunglasses, sunscreen, hat, lip protector, warm jackets etc.

5. Drink some water to get acclimatized to the high altitude.

Drive around 1 hour to Lulang Forest after enjoying your breakfast. Lulang Forest is a typical highland meadow narrow strip, on both sides of the green mountains from the low to the high growing bush and dense spruce, pine tree. In the meadow located in the middle, streams meander and thousands of wildflowers bloom. Wooden fences and houses, farmer’s houses are scattered all over the place. After enjoying delicious lunch then head to the Yarlung Zangbu Grand Canyon, the No. 1 canyon in the world and natural geological museum, you will enjoy breathtaking plateau scenery as overlooking Nnamjagbarwa Mountain, exploring the Tibetan ethnic groups and learn their unchanging tradition of life. In late March and early April, peach blooms all over the canyon and make this place more breathtaking.

Enjoy the scenic drive from Nyingchi to Lhasa(390km), en-route visit beautiful Basum Lake, a famous sacred lake for the red religion. Under the clear sky of the plateau, the lake water is clear and blue, reflected by the surrounding snow mountains, yellow duck, sand gull, white crane and other birds floating on the lake, the lakeshore of the original forest, picturesque scenery, presenting a beautiful fairyland. What is more special is that the beautiful and wonderful Tashi Island in the center of Basum Lake has an ancient temple, just like the place where the gods live. After visiting, continue heading to Lhasa, enjoy beautiful Niyang River along the way and pass grand Mila Snow Mountain.

After breakfast, start your exciting Tibet tour from Potala Palace, the most recognized highest palace in the world, you will not only enjoy the splendid building and its interior decorations but also learn local Tibetan culture and history. After lunch, go for Jokhang Temple, the center of Tibetan Buddhism and the sacred land of Buddhist followers where thousands of pilgrims come for worshiping every day. Take a leisurely walk at nearby Barkhor Street, a big free market with its various stalls for selling local specialties.

On the relaxing drive to Namtso Lake from Lhasa downtown(230km), appreciate the incredible view of this roof of the world. Namtso Lake is one of the three holy lacks in Tibet, covering more than 1920 square kilometers. It is considered as Heaven Lake as if you can touch the door of heaven if you come here. The sacred lake is held high by the Qinghai-Tibet plateau, like a jasper from the earth to the blue sky. Here everything appears to be detached from the worldly sublime and sacred. The vast blue lake, the quiet majestic iceberg, all by the god's will is arranged as an ultimate detachment. After visiting, drive back to Lhasa.

Due to the changeable weather in Namtso Lake in winter(November-March), sometimes it will be closed for heavy snow and rain, will adjust tour itinerary accordingly.

After breakfast, meet your friendly tour guide and start to visit Norbulingka, like the Summer Palace in Beijing. Enjoy the beautiful park and inhale fresh oxygen. Later, visit Drepung Monastery, the sacred land of Gelug Sect, which was established in 1416 and the second, third and fourth Dalai Lama once resided in. You will be fully immersed in the culture and spirituality of Tibet as appreciating its beautiful carvings and exquisite artwork everywhere.

After lunch, take a relaxing drive to Sera Monastery, which was originated in 1419 and has always been an important Buddhist seminary. Watch and listen to monks debate philosophical points or to spend time touring the monastery's interior. Each room is adorned with beautiful statues, art, or cultural decor. After sightseeing, be transferred to the hotel.

After breakfast, drive to Shigatse(327km). On the way cross the Gangba-la Pass, tour guide will spare enough time for you to enjoy holy Yamdrok Lake, stunning view of the huge cover blue lake and the snow-capped mountain. Continue to enjoy the Korola Glacier on the roadside, hang pray flag at Simila Mountain Pass and Manak Dam Lake. After arrival at Shigatse and check in the hotel for rest.

After breakfast, drive around 8 hours to Mount Everest(340km). En route, you will get excited for the breathtaking view along the way. Make a stop at Jiawula Pass where is the perfect location to have an overview of the Himalayas for four snow mountains, all over 8,000 meters. Besides, you will take a stroll around the Rongbuk Monastery located 5,154 meters, the world’s highest monastery. It’s only 20km from the Mount Everest peak, so you will have a great chance to enjoy the astonishing Mount Everest and floating white clouds in the azure sky.

Today you will reside at Rongbuk Guest House. The equipment is very simple and basic, providing beds, heated blankets and hot water, basic meals. There is no running water, showers, private bathroom, please prepare according supplies on your own. But all these problems will be erased after traveler enjoying the starry sky at night, don’t forget to bring your camera to capture the beautiful views.

Get up early to enjoy the marvelous sunrise, the mist floating around the Mount Everest, as the sunshine cast on the snow mountain, like ten thousand gold arrows shot through the sky, setting off the mountains and valleys plated on a layer of treasure light, very spectacular! Drive to Gyirong (347km) and stay overnight.

Kindly Note: There is no star hotel at Gyirong, will reside at Gyirong Hotel only.

Gyirong is the border between China and Nepal. The border between the two countries is bordered by the Boqu river, over which there is a friendship bridge for tourists to cross on foot. Go to the friendship bridge to go through the customs formalities. You can take taxi to Katmandu, the capital of Nepal. Have a nice trip!
