Solitary Beauty Peak is located in the ancient Mansion of Prince Jingjiang, in the center of Guilin City, Guangxi Province, with an area of 6,100 square meters. Towering 216 meters above the sea level and 66 meters above the ground, this peak has been a major scenic site in Guilin since ancient times and is renowned as the 'Sky-Supporting Pillar in the South'. Composed of limestone from the shallow sea sediment biochemistry about 0.35 billion years ago, the peak got its name from the famous line in(420-589) literature, 'none can surpass this solitary peak in beauty'. When bathed in the dawn sunshinethe peak seems to be wearing a purple gown and a golden belt, which is the origin of its other name 'Purple Golden Hill'.
A stone stair of 306 steps will lead you to the top of the peak, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Guilin City. Here, you will also find the famous Solitary Beauty Pavilion, which is 7 meters high, has 2 floors and is supported by several red pillars.
History around the Solitary Beauty Peak has been recollected mainly for the glorious past of the Jing Jiang Prince's ruling the city during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The Prince's mansion in the city had been set in ancient times around thepeakits beauty and high scenic view over the city. The lines carved in the stones in the nearby cave explain the importance of the peak in the eyes of peoplethat period of time. According to the Southern and Northern Dynasty (420-589) poet Yanyuan: "The beauty of the peak is so unique that other nearby mountains are not on the part with it ". Inspired by these lines, the site got its name of "Solitary Beauty", a reference in all Guilin scenictoday.
In the west foot of Solitary Beauty Peak, there is Peace Cave, formerly known as West Cave, 2.9 meters high, 4.25 meters wide, 31.5 meters long, covers an area of 140 square meters. Peace Cave has its own characteristics, the rock mass is like a spacious house, the ground is very smooth, heavy rock roof is hanging stalactites, some like the neat hair of, some like colorful dragon scales, and in many strange dazzling.
Crescent Pond is located at the east foot of Solitary Beauty Peak, the back garden of the Jingjiang Mansion. Originally there was Solitary Beauty spring, in Ming the spring was dug into, and due toshaped like a crescent; therefore it was called "Crescent Pond".

Snow Cave is located in the northwest foot of Solitary Beauty Peak, the entrance of the cave face to Crescent Pond, about 3 meters high, 5.6 meters wide, and 32 meters long, area of about 180 square meters. The cave walls are white; the hangingare as white as snow.the entrance ofthere was engraved with 2 words of Snow Cave, andthere is a pair of phoenix stones. 　　Liusanjie is a pretty singer of ethnic Zhuang in fairy tales. Around her, there are many colorful sagas. In 1961, Film Liusanjie gave birth. In the movie, the pretty Liusanjie and wonderful landscape of Guilin together with the folk songs prevail across China and south-east Asian. Since then, one generation after another generation, visitng Liusanjie and capturing her pretty folk song become a dream. Liusanjie Impression Show now is an arts exclusively without too much reality.

　　Liusanjie Impression Show went to public on March 20, 2004. The officer of World Tourism Organisation remarks: the show can not be seen from anywhere except China, and from anywhere in the world, it is worthwhile coming for watching the show. The area for the performance is granted as the best resort by world tourism organization and the national culture industry demonstration base.

　　Liusanjie Impression Show made by famous director “Zhang, yimou”, “Wang, Chaoge” and “Fan,yue” is one of the largest life performance in Impression Serials. The spot is located on the junction between Li River and Tianjiahe, facing opposite to Shutong mountain across the water. The Stage is a two-kilometer Li river water area with 12 peaks as backgrounds, very magnificent and ranked as the largest water and mountain theatre.

　　There are seven parts in the performance. The theme is the classic tale “Liusanjie” as the performance fully shows the folk songs, ethnic custom and Li River fishery in arts. It is worth mentioning that 600 participants are all local fishermen and ethnic girls, not after professional training. For the reason above, visitors enjoy the real aboriginal life in Li River. The picture is rather magnificent with the background of real water landscape, lantern, music and dance.

　　In the performance, the folk song is performed by local dialect and difficult to understand. The visitors need not understand what the song means, instead feel the Li River with heart. While watching performance, the higher seats lies, the better panoramic-view on the whole magnificent state.

　　Liusanjie Impression Show is a real luxurious party which constructs a vast stage with dazzling lanterns and promote landscaping of Guilin. The whole stage is covered by lush greens planting with tea trees, Tail bamboo and grass. The lanterns and acoustic system are fixed and hidden in the environment. The watering stage is all made by bamboo raft. Without performance, the bamboo rafts could be disjoined and hidden, without any impact on Li River. Over 100 acres building lands, drum tower, bridge and VIP area all gave off a deep folk nature. The visitors marvel at that here is not an iron nail in whole project. The audience seats are made by green terrace with a 180-degree panoramic view of watching performance and landscape from two kilometers, at the same time it fits for dispelling flood. There are total 2200 seats including 2000 normal seats plus 180 VIP seats and 20 presidential seats. There are over 600 actors after special training together with costumes of different ethnics including Zhang, Yao and Miao.
