Highlights
This 18 days tour begins from the capital city Beijing to Xian, Lhasa and Shigatse two Tibet Historical cities, cruise on the Yangtze River, ends in Shanghai. Through traveling these famous Chinese cities, you will be enjoyable and make this tour memorable in your lifetime.
Day 1 Arrival in Beijing
Welcome to Beijing! Our local tour guide and driver will warmly greet you at the arrival hall and escort you to a hotel for check-in.

Day 2 Beijing
After breakfast, visit the largest city plaza -Tiananmen Square and imperial palace-Forbidden City, home for 24 emperors and their families from Ming to end of Qing dynasty more than 500 years. After lunch, visit the Temple of Heaven, it was a place for Chinese emperors to hold annual ceremonies for the good harvest and peace, and the building completely shows the Chinese ancient folk custom and the people's spiritual lifestyle.

Day 3 Beijing
After breakfast, drive to Badaling Great Wall (70km), upon arriving entrance to the gate of the Great Wall, climb along the stair up to the summit. View spectacular architectures and its beautiful surrounding. After that, en-route visit the Summer Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site, it was built for the royal family of Qing dynasty as a lavish lakeside retreat to escape the heat of Beijing.

Day 4 Beijing-Xian by Flight
Immense at the tranquil atmosphere of Lama Temple, later take the rickshaw through the narrow ancient allay to experience an ancient excursion to Hutong and enjoy homemade delicious lunch. Catch a flight to Xian. Upon arrival, your tour guide and driver will geet you and send you to the local hotel.

Day 5 Xian
The highlight tour today is a visit to the famous Terracotta Warriors which was known as the Eighth Wonder of the World. The pit in the Terracotta Army is an ancillary section of the tomb. Afterward visit the Huaqing Hot Spring, which has been famous for the best quality hot springs since ancient times.

Day 6 Xian
Served as the capital of eleven dynasties in ancient China and the eastern origin of the legendary Silk Road, it features numerous cultural relics and historical sites. Start visiting Xi'an City Wall, the largest and oldest defending wall in China. If the weather permits, you might have a ride on the top of the wall by bicycle(expense on your own). then enjoy an authentic meal at Muslim Street, where has lots of snacks to taste(expense on your own). At last, go to Big Wild Goose Pagoda, built to preserve the valuable scriptures that the famous monk Master Xuanzang brought back from India. In the evening enjoy a special dumpling dinner and Tang Dynasty Show recreating glorious past with the ancient music, magnificent costumes and graceful dance.

Day 7 Xian-Lhasa by Flight
After breakfast, visit Shaanxi History Museum whose construction represents the highest-level of museums in the 1990s and to some extent, it is definitely the milestone of the modernization of Chinese museums. Get a detailed commentary and miniature overview of the history in this museum from the guide. After lunch, transfer to the airport for flight to Lhasa (3.5 hours). After arrival in Lhasa, be met by local tour guide and driver then escorted to Lhasa city, on the way crossing the world longest river-Brahmaputra River and its branch river Lhasa Kyichu River, you will view the Tibetan village and beautiful houses with prayer flag and the mysterious Buddhist temple. After 1-hour drive, you will arrive at the Lhasa city hotel, then check in and try adapting to high altitude acclimatization.

Day 8 Lhasa
After breakfast, accompanied by local experienced Tibetan tour guide go to visit the world's heritage Potala Palace, which is a mysterious building and a symbol presenting Tibetan history and religion, built in 7 century ordered by Tibetan 33rd king Songtsang Gampo and reconstructed in 17 century. After 2 hours Potala Palace tour, enjoy a delicious lunch in a Tibetan style restaurant. In the afternoon, go to the heart of Lhasa old city to visit the holy temple-Jokhang Temple, then follow the pilgrim path and enjoy the Tibetan live pilgrimage, take a leisurely walk on Barkhor Street and experience Tibetan business street.

Day 9 Lhasa
Drive to Norbulingka. In 1752, the 7th Dalai Lama built the first palace here for successive Dalai Lamas to carry out their political and religious activities during the summer season. Go to the west part of Lhasa city to sightsee the Tibetan largest monastery-Drepung Monastery, it is one of the Tibetan six Gelukpa temple, built in 15 century by Jamyang Chokyi, the disciple of Tsongkapa. The Drepung Monastery is a famous Buddhist lecture teaching and studying place in Tibetan area. After lunch, then continue going to visit Sera Monastery. The Sera Monastery is another influential Gelugpa Monastery, where you can see the scale of sutra debating among monks.

Day 10 Lhasa-Gyantse county-Shigatse by Private Vehicle
After breakfast, drive to Shigatse. En-route cross the Gampapa pass (4780m), reach at the top of the pass, our guide will arrange you get down from vehicle and lead you to the Yamdrok Lake, one of the four holy lakes in Tibet, here you will see stunning view with the huge blue lake and the snow mountain, then continue to head to Gyantse, on the way across the foot of the Nyingchen Kangsum snow mountain and the Karo-la glacier, you will visit the Pelkor Chode Monastery. Its architecture fully represents a typical style from the thirteenth century to the fifteenth century, which is one of the preserved Norbulingka monasteries. Drive to Shigatse and stay overnight.

Day 11 Shigatse-Lhasa by Private Vehicle
After breakfast, go to visit the Tashilunpo Monastery which is sited at the west corner of the Shigatse and one of Tibet six Gelukpa great monastery, it is built by 1st Dalai Lama in 15 century. The 4th Dalai Lama moved to Lhasa Drepung Monastery--Tibetan united government, the Tashilunpo is commissioned to his teacher 4th Banchen Lama to live here and manage this monastery. After 2 hours sightseeing, drive back to Lhasa along Brahmaputra river. On the way, our guide will give you the chance to visit the local Tibetan family, let you experience Tibet lifestyle and their handicraft skills. In the afternoon, reach your hotel in Lhasa city.

Day 12 Lhasa-Chongqing by Flight
Catch the flight to Chongqing. Upon arrival, meet your tour guide and driver then enjoy delicious hot pot. Afterwards, you'll be sent to the pier and start your wonderful Yangtze River cruise.

Day 13 Yangtze River Cruise
Enjoy a relaxing morning as you watch the cruise passing by majestic mountains along the river and see the bright red Shibaozhai Pagoda originally built on the side of the mountain. Step ashore and do some exploring and perhaps climb to the top for far-spreading views. See the pagodas round windows that create a magical frame with its wooden structure built entirely without nails and raising 100 feet high. Overnight on cruise.

Day 14 Yangtze River Cruise
Today you will pass through Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge where you will marvel at the majestic peaks crowned with lush greens where the currents of history and breathtaking views meet nature dotted by smaller gorges and canyons. Shennv Stream to discover crystalline waters, verdant forests and stunning gorges on deck. Contemplate this enchanting scenery, the cruise will enter Xiling Gorge bringing you the highlight of Yangtze river landscape right in front of your eyes. Overnight on cruise.

Day 15 Yichang-Shanghai by Bullet Train
Today you will take a shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam which is the largest and most famous hydroelectric power station in the world. Discover this amazing feat of engineering and sail through the locks of the dam that stretches over 7,600 feet across the river then arrive at Yichang dock ready for disembarkation. Meet the local driver there who will be waiting to drop you off at the railway station to Shanghai. Upon arrival, tour guide and driver will send you back to the hotel. Have a good sleep!

Day 16 Shanghai
The driver and tour guide pick you up from the hotel. Your tour starts from the classic and elegant Yu Garden which has a history of over 500 years. Later, stroll along the Bund, the landmark of Shanghai, and admire multinational classical buildings complex. View the modern skyscrapers complex in Pudong New Area, you can visit the Jinmao Tower for bird-view of Shanghai.
After enjoying delicious lunch, you will visit the People's Square which is a great place to see locals going about their daily life and also a great place to admire some of the best architecture nearby. At last, you will see the Old French Concession which is an area of well-preserved old style stone houses with lots of interesting shops, cafes and restaurants. You can walk through the alleyways and have leisure time enjoying the art, food and souvenirs. The tour ends by being transferred back to your hotel.

Day 17 Shanghai
Our tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and take you on a relaxed 1-hour drive away from the hustle and bustle of the city to Zhujiajiao Ancient Town, a town with over 1,000 years of history. Examine the small rivers crisscrossing the town and take note of the 36 scenic bridges while on a traditional sampan ride. Gain insight of the antiquated setup dating back to the Qing and Ming dynasty and capture fantastic pictures of the four must-go spots: Kezhi Garden, Tongtianhe Medicine Shop, Qing Dynasty Post Office and Yuanjin Meditation Room.
Revitalize with scrumptious local cuisine, then proceed to explore the architectural jewels of the Seven Treasures Town famous for its old streets and rich textile collection. In the late afternoon, you will later be driven back to Shanghai.
